What are my chickens?

Oh and the red one is a Production Red - not a RIR

You know, I'm glad you brought that up, as I was on the fence about that. It's always hard to tell with hatcheries, as their RIRs are so off-type and light. (I personally think of all hatchery RIRs as Production Reds :p )

Same here - they are never up to standards from the hatcheries. You can't even compare true heritage RIR with hatcheries. The colour is so many shades darker.

Aggh! Are you guys serious? I was certain that atleast the barred rock was a girl. My daughters named her Hannah, and the white one is Rosie.

On a scale of 1-10, are they all definite 10 roos? Sigh...they were for eggs, and my little ones have raised them up as pets.

The white one does have a few spots. We had 4, and something got one of them last week :(. I bet that was my girl. She was a barred rock, and looking back at pics she looks alot darker.

I don't remember how old they were when we got them, but I can post some pics of them from the week we got them. They were this big around the last week of March...

Those look to be a week or two old (ish) so I'm saying all three roosters as well. Late march would = about 8-9 weeks old now, so those combs are WAY too red for girls at that age. They won't get saddle feathers until 12-13ish weeks old.
