My husband bought our chickens at an auction, We have 2 Roosters one i know is a bantam, and the other is a Black Copper Maran (along with a matching hen) but the others we dont know what breeds or gender, they are all good chickens, a little skittish with the exception of a few, currently only 4 are laying and all are free range during the day, and coop at night bc we have lots of predators. Please help with any IDs that you can. Thanks in advance! --Amanda Hopkins Darlington SC

1st pic- Looks like a Speckled Sussex cross to me, but the lighting is bad so Im not sure

2nd- The closest one is an Easter Egger roo

3rd- Looks like a polish cross

4th- The one on the left is a buff orpington while the one on the right looks like a RIR rooster

5th- I am not sure which one you are confused about (maybe all?)

6th- Looks like a cross, hard to tell from just the top view. Do they have beards?

They look a lil like crossbred chickens. The 1st pic. reminds me of Speckled Sussex, possibly mixed. The picture with the big dark rooster, the 2 hens u have there that are laying down look like a Barred Rock mix. I see rose come on the rooster and hen so Im not sure about them. Not sure about the others and not 100% sure on the ones I commented on but I think thats what they could possibly be, hope this helps ya a lil and enjoy ur chickens!!

1st chick: I dunno. Can you get a better pic?

2nd chick: The closest chicken is an Easter Egger cock

3rd chick: Looks like a Polish crossed with something

4th chick: The one on the left is a Buff Orpington and the one on the right looks like a Rhode Island Red rooster

5th chick: Which one are you asking about?

6th chick: Looks like a cross, but it's hard to tell from a top view. Do they have beards?

In the 5th picture the two in front, the white one and the brownish one I know they are both hens but the darker one isn't laying eggs, the white one is (everyday) I will try to get better pictures with my daughter holding them. Thanks!

oh my gosh, I hate to say it but you totally copied my post, especially the 6th chick one....

Anyway, for the 5th picture, the brown hen in front looks like a red sex link, the white one I'm unsure, maybe a cross (looks to bulky to be a leghorn to me). The roo in the back I am unsure of, most likely a cross. For the buff one (next to the white one) it looks like a Buff Sussex. You have a lot of cute crosses in there.

Hardee har har. Actually, I don't find that funny at all. I DID NOT copy your post. And if you "hated to say it", why did you say it?

The one in the very back is a rooster, a very pretty one a that!! I can tell by his tail feathers and his cone is a lil bigger and more red!
