I rescued 6 chicks from someone who bought them as Easter gifts for her kids. Now I need help identifying breed and gender, please.

The big ones, white and yellow feathers. Twice as big as the brown ones.

The little ones look like Rhode Island Reds with those yellow yellow legs. The big ones look a lot like the mystery chicks I posted yesterday, except that mine had feathered shanks. The conclusion there was Giant Cochins (totally cool!!!!). Wonder if they're the new Easter chick trend. . .

By the way, I am so glad there are people like you out there to take in the chicks that people so curiously view along the lines of inanimate plastic eggs. Somewhere in their little chick heads I'm sure this crew has realized that their lives just changed drastically for the better.

They look like a production red or they call them Cherry Eggers, or RIR from a hatchery, the rest are cornish X or another meat bird...

The big White ones are Cornish X (a meat type chicken)
The Red-ish ones are Production Red

Thanks for all of your responses! Y'all are terrific! One more thing...
The reddish ones look identical, just like one one in the close-up. I don't suppose anyone could tell the sex yet?

Too early to tell. I have a RIR that is 8 weeks and I still dont know if it is male or female. They are difficult to sex. I'm waiting for she to lay an egg or he to crow.
