What are "Popcorn chicks"

I was talking with a friend today about what breeds of chickens I wanted to raise this spring and he said why don't I raise "popcorn chicks". Does anyone know what breed a popcorn chick is? He couldn't tell me anymore than that they are all different colors, very small, jump a lot, and stay small. Are they bantams? Quail?

i used to work for KFC and even i couldn't tell u what a popcorn is. but we used to say our button quails should be called that cause of how they pop like popcorn out of the shells when they hatch. mabe that's what he is refering to.
