Hi y'all,
I was wondering what some good egg laying breeds are. I'm not as interested in chickens as I am in other types of non-traditional eggs, like ducks, geese, partridge, etc... so what are some good egg producing species I should consider?

The best egg layers are White Leghorns (for white eggs) and Black and Red Sex Links (for brown eggs). These are the three birds primarily used by laying houses for their high egg production as they will all lay more than 300 eggs per hen per year. The only poultry that comes close to this kind of lay rate are some of the ducks such as Khaki Campbell and some of the hybrid ducks.
