First off, Welcome to BYC!!!

Next, depends on what kind you are looking to get,
such as layers, meat birds, show birds, etc......
then you will want to try to look at a place
that is as close to you as possible, so that shipping
is not too hard on the birds.

There is a category under this header (Chicken Breeds)
called
"Chicken Breeders and Hatcheries"
Take a look there to see what others have said
about the different places.

Many prefer to go with a breeder to get a better quality
stock, & that will generally get a you birds that are
closer to the "Standard" in appearance.
There are many, many kinds out there, so you might
do some research to pick what you like best.

Some hatcheries have better stock, perhaps because
there are local breeders that will drop ship for them.

Guess it all depends on what you want!!!
