What are the benefits for letting my chicken eat grass?

My 2 chickens eat lot of soft grass is it Okay to let them eat it? These were one month old when i got them, I Also give them additional rice and some bread..They are 4 months old!!

Thanks for replying me, i dont use any pesticides or weedkillers at all, its early spring time here, the whole grass it not yet green. I'm from Indian administered Kashmir.

It is not a breed I am familiar with, sorry. I think it must be a local breed or mix native to your area.
