Does anyone have a favorite book or magazine that helps you now or in the past with genetics in breeding your chickens? Something that you "turn to" often perhaps or "couldn't do without?"
I have had only a small amount of genetics in HS Biology "way-back-when" with fruit flies. Yet, I find it very fascinating that new "breeds" are created (such as the Australorps, etc.) and how traits are passed on to better a breed or "line?" or color of chickens.
As a beginnner, I have a lot to learn for sure.....Thank you so much in advance for being willing to share with me! I have to run now, but will be back later on today I hope.
