What are the best ways to get rid of mites?

Hey guys I’m having a little bit of a mite problem with my flock and need advice on how to get rid of them and what to do. What has worked best for everyone and how often should I be doing it. Also the best way to prevent more from coming back

I use Ivermectin drench, applied with a dropper under the wing or between the shoulder blades (wings), 1/4 cc for bantams, 1/2 cc for standard size birds. To eliminate the entire lifecycle, do it again in 2-3 weeks. Costs about $20-25 at Orscheln or other farm stores, but well worth it.

In some parts of the world Ivermectin is used for people, too, to get rid of parasites. But I still recommend using gloves and washing hands afterward.
