What are the laws in Sewell, NJ? Washington Township...

I have been looking online for information on keeping and raising chickens. Does anyone have this information or anyone in the area that can help me get started?????

Can I even have them or what..? I have seen towns close that could and could not on here, but none specific to my area.

just type "animals" in the search and you'll see it!

Thank you very much, Im looking but there is nothing about chickens. Does that mean its ok?

I have to call them, you have put me a lot closer that I was before. Hope this thread helps some one else, Ill keep updates, and feel free to chime in if you have some info to offer!!!

Don't forget to check for "slaughterhouse" rules just in case you wanted to do your own meat processing.
Some cities or towns may not regulate poultry but may regulate slaughter of animals.

In my city, there is no code for chickens but does have slaughterhouse rules.
"All slaughter houses must be licensed."
"All slaughter houses must be inspected."
"All slaughter houses must pay a fee for license based on quantity of animals slaughtered per year."
"All slaughter house structures must be inspected for building codes."
