I have a silkie who is 10 weeks this weekend.
I'm hoping for a girl.
how can i tell the differences.
I know the main ones like the crest, comb and wattles.
but is there anything else i should keep an eye out for?

Silkies are very hard. Either watch for crowing or eggs. That's your best bet, they can fool you sometimes.

I had no idea that one of my silkies was a rooster until he was 7 months or more, and the 2 roosters i knew about were outside the coop. I heard someone crow inside.... And he was the only one in there. I almost didn't believe it even then!

I know, I love silkie roos. Thankfully when you do "have" to get rid of them, they are pretty easy to rehome either on craigslist or freecycle. My roos found great homes! But it's so sad, because they are so well behaved and cute!

Oh another question i just thought of.
are non bearded silkies easier to sex then bearded.

I live in Australia its really hard to rehome roosters in my area as we are not meant to have roosters.
I have 2 red roosters

i go off of personality when their young, like if they fight with each other, or bite me like one did yesterday, otherwise you have to wait tell their older.
