Cool spurs!

I always emphasize the "smart" in smartphone... very sarcastically. Lol. Monkeys are cool though. As long as no poo flinging ensues....just be grateful it's not as bad as GPS on the phones, my stupid smart phone always wants to send me to the monkey section of the zoo lol

Been stalking this thread to see pics of these mystery birds![]()
All chickens have spur buds even if they don't all grow into spurs. Sometimes they are hard to see, small like a pimple. I've got a bunch of Grays, Hatches and Roundheads and a lot of the hens have spurs. Assil hens can have them. Assils are excellent broodies and mommas, but once the chicks hatch be very careful around her and them. They can be extremely protective and vicious. I had my hand broken in 2 place by a game hen with spurs by sticking my hand in brooder too fast when feeding them.I talked to the breeder this morning...
He told me they could still be hens, and I find it hard to believe he had any bad intentions.
I see different patterns and lighter feathering on different birds, but not on the same birds...
It looks like there could be hens in there, but the "spur buds" concern me.
We'll wait, but very impatiently, and no promises not to nag, lol.Sorry, but if you wanna see pics of my chicks, you'll have to wait longer.
