What are the odds?

3 out of my 4 Black Star chicks are roosters. Silly question :Are chicks like crocodiles/alligators- the temps make a difference in the sex?

No, the sex of the chick is "set" when egg is formed/laid.. Not like some reptiles that sex can be determined/impacted by incubation temp.

PS: 8 (possibly 9) outta 10 eggs were roos for me, ugh

.. Just "luck of the draw" I guess...
