I just wondered because I it is hard for me to get good barring in buff colored birds...I though it would also be difficult in the Red variety.
The thing I don't understand is why he is calling the R.I. Red a Black Tailed Red.
R.I. Reds are a Red Columbian, a Black Tailed Red would not have the Black in the wings where a Red Columbian (R.I. Red) does.
