what are the signs of my hens making a nest

Ok so i have one of my hens making a nest whatever hen did it dug to the bottom of the nesting box

It's think it's just a hen thing. Some of mine do it too. Are you waiting for them to start laying their first eggs or asking if they are broody(going to incubate eggs)?

yep weave been waiting for a while

my hens dig a deep hole when they are broody-- course only had two hens so far who are broody but both of them did the same thing.
