Okay, so I'm new to the chick thing... I hang around the chatroom asking oddball chicken questions(I'm still in the learning process LOL)... I still am not sure what my chicks are though (breed or sex)... Any suggestions?!?I only have 2 chicks...

Chick #2 looks like it could be an australorp or a black jersey giant. The other could be a sumatra, minorca, or something like unto it...

Okay, well I've waited a few more weeks and taken some new photos. Chick #1 has definately changed, was looking like a crow, and now looks like a chicken lol. Although I have still yet to find what breed IT may be. Sex either. It has also gotten rather large(about almost 2 inches bigger than Chick #2. It was all black, but now has brown/tan feathers around the back of it's neck, any ideas?

From many opinions, and my own research, I'm going Australorp on Chick #2 (Now how do I tell the sex?)

I'm thinking #1 is a black sex-link, with the reddish feathers on its neck. If it is, it's a female, based on coloring. If it were a male black sex-link, it would look a lot like a barred rock.

#2 will be apparent soon. Watch for red, large comb and wattles. At this stage, I see neither, so I'm guessing pullet. What are they? 6 or 7 weeks?
