I just got my first chicks ever! They are bantys, but thats all they could tell me at TSC. Hubster and I looked through a chicken catalog and the best we could guess is that they are BB Red or Araucanas, probably the latter. Does anyone have any insight for a complete chicken novice? TIA!!

I'd say they were Brown Leghorns [IMG] I currently have a set of those chicks, and they look exactly alike!

If I am not mistaken hatcheries don't actually have true arucanas (sp) and unless the TSC has a private breeder supplying their chicks they have hatchery chicks. If they had muffs on their cheeks then I would say def some kind of EasterEgger chick. They do look like my one Brown leghorn chick
