Are they Seramas? What kind? Mixed?

Now I'm more confused. The person who has them says now she thinks they are Seramas. So I looked at all kinds of pictures of Seramas and they look like those too.

Seramas are supposed to have red ear lobes but often have some white. Many of the Dutch have VERY white ear lobes. These have some white.

This other BYC thread "Major Differences between Dutch/Seramas/Old English" shows some posed birds. Would roosting Seramas be relaxed if the picture were taken when they were about to sleep or woken up? Should I ask her to take another picture? How would she pose the bird(s)?

I also see there isn't a proposed standard for Serama leg color.

Would weight be a way to tell for sure? If she has a way to weigh a chicken

. What about egg size? She also has quail so she would be able to compare eggs.

Here is the background: The person who has them was given the birds by someone else so she isn't sure what they are, but thinks they are Seramas. I'm getting some BCM eggs and combining with an order for some chicks for her. I don't want to add any full grown chickens to my coop (aren't they sooo cute though and they're little which means they wouldn't take up much room

). I was thinking of taking a couple hatching eggs and if I could find someone who wanted these birds I would take them in trade / partial trade depending on what someone else would pay. It would help me to know what they are before I offer them for sale. She doesn't want them and I don't care how I break even for the cost of her chicks. If the trade doesn't work out she has no issue with just paying cash either.

Thank you again.

If they're Dutch then they're poor quality. Dutch should have solid white lobes. Those birds don't. They look more game to me.
