what are these

Hi all,

I have been finding these in the coop mostly on the poop board, I know they look like a fly and im hoping thats what they are, but please keep in mind that these pics are magnified they are so tiny but if your looking on the poop board you can see them. there are alot of them. i did spray the boards with permethrin and it did kill them but i just want to make sure they are just tiny flies and not some kind of mite. i didn't see any on my hens so im hopeful. thank you

I was thinking flies...but when you said that the image is magnified, It struck a nerve. I think those are Biting Nats. That is what they look like to me...

Not mites...some kind of fly/gnat.
