We got our two hens at a flea market, not sure what they are, can you tell me? And the old rooster... he showed up one day in my neighbor's tree, not sure at all what he is. Can you help me figure out what breed these birds are? Both hens lay brown eggs and the rooster has grey legs and no comb...

Thanks! The red's called "Henrietta", the white is "Shadowclux" (Shadow for short) and the rooster, we call him "Henry the Red"

I learn something new every day, thanks for letting me know about the mites. I can't catch this rooster to save my life, he's way too fast. Maybe I can get a treatment from Southern States or Farm Bureau stores?

Yep, that's what you've got!

Man, your American game rooster is gorgeous. I could stare at him all day!

The white hen is NOT a Delaware. Delawares have barring, not a straight Columbian type.

If the legs are pink/white, she's a sussex. If they're yellow, she's a Plymouth Rock.

The legs are yellow so I guess she's a Plymouth

Thanks! When we got them they were babies in a pen and they were being sold by some kids who didn't seem to know what kind of chickens they were.
