What are they?

They are completely black with a single comb. No brown on their necks like my other sex link. They are 16 weeks old.

They could be dark sex-links. They could also be Black Australorps (pink feet) or Jersey Giants (yellow feet)

Are their soles yellow or pink? Yellow= Jersey Giant, Pink=Australorp

I couldn't catch them to make sure, but it looks like the feet bottoms are black.

how well does that box of grass work?

They love it. I put some potting soil down and then threw the quick growing seeds on top. Within a week it has grown enough for them to start pecking from the top of the wire.
