WHAT ARE WE?!?IM SO CONFUSED?!?!we have a boy....i think...but who?

so far no spurs but they all have what looks like starting of spur bumps......and just so ya know, Americaunas and EEs can be light and girls.......ive seen em......i dont think color means anything with this breed

Color doesn't mean anything for this variety of chicken, and both sexes start with spur bumps. By the time the males begin crowing and the females begin laying, the spurs on the males may begin to grow. Spurs on females may even grow if they are very old. The "little bumps" are there for both sexes, however.

EEs are not a breed, they are simply a variety of chicken that lays blue and green eggs, and they come in many different colors because they are mutts or crossbreeds. I have some pretty EEs myself (for green eggs), as well as true Ameraucanas (blue eggs). I love them both. So many people are confused because most hatcheries don't even know what they're selling. They may sell you an EE but they call it an Ameraucana, "Americana," "Ameracana," "Aracana," etc., just because they don't know the difference. At least I hope it's that they don't know the difference and not that they're actively trying to trick people.

At this stage, all yours appear to be EE pullets.

Thats y i like this web site, peaple can learn a lot from it,like me, i did not know that ameraucana is a verity of mixes, i dont have any of them.

Could your mom have heard a honking type noise? My girls that are the same age as yours have started making very strange, very loud noises. I would think that if you had a rooster he would have a much more developed comb by now. Do you have any that have long tail feathers like my white roo I posted on page 2? Here are my girls for comparison. They are the same age as your chickens.

Ameraucana is not a variety of mixes, they are their own breed, EE's are a variety of mixes, and sometimes thay can be a non-recognized color of Ameraucana(mixed color ameraucana). Confused yet?
