I'm not sure what kind of ducks they are. The one on the right has markings like a black or blue swede, but it is brown, so I'm not sure. I don't see a drake curl on the tail, so maybe it is female - depends on how old it is. I don't know about the other one. I bet others might have an idea.

Cute puppy!!

I have no idea on the left one. The one on the right looks like it could be a Chocolate Swede which would be very cool! Is it supposed to be a purebred? I would guess hen as well since I don't see a drake feather but my drake is molting and seems to have misplaced his drake feather so people would guess he is a female too based on looks. Does the duck quack loud and clearly or is it more of a hoarse raspy sound? That is the best way I have seen to sex them. Loud and clear is female, raspy and hoarse is male.

Wow, our dog Bella looks pretty evil in that picture. LOL

I am just hoping the one on the right is really a hen. The drake on the left (I know he's a drake) is really protective of her, and they always stick together. Weird, because they both came from an auction, and from different sellers, so they must have just 'clicked' when they got here.

I have spent more time staring at this brown duck...

Any more opinions?

I see no drake feather on her, and she never quacks. LOL Doesn't she look built more feminine than the drake? Or is this wishful thinking??
