I've had these babies for about a month now, but I was wondering if anyone could tell what breeds these were? Or, if they're hens or roos?

First up - Little Guy

Up next is Raven (not solid black anymore, so I might have to come up with a more fitting name ^_^)

Finally, this is Pip.

Spangled oegb, quail oegb, self blue cochin. All three appear to be pullets. The quail is definitely a pullet, but give it a little more time to be sure on the other two.

Edited for spelling.

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy :

1. Spangled OEGB hen
2. Quail OEGB hen
3. Blue Cochin Hen.

Yup all pullets, all breeds look correct to me.

spangle oeg
brown red either oeg or dutch bantam, depends if she grow a white lobe/ not
blue booted bantam (black legs instead of cochin yellow).

Thanks for the replies! I'm finding the fact that so many people said pullets very encouraging!

I bought 2 chicks earlier in the spring, a white cochin and a buff (well, I thought it was buff, but has since turned out to be a mix of red and black) silkie. Both have turned out to be roos, though I posted them on here when I first got them, and the consensus on the cochin seemed to be that it was rooish. The cochin, Flurry, started crowing this week, but the silkie, who was named Mrs. Buttersworth (guess I'll have to come up with something else now) hasn't started crowing, but definitely looks like a roo to me, unless silkie hens have very fat combs? I might post a pic of the silkie later just to make sure, but I'm pretty sure it's a roo. I think it's just scared of Flurry because he's so bossy.
