I have 16 4 week old chicks. I was told they were BO, Ameraucana, and BO/Ameraucana mixes. I was told there may be a red star or red start? any ideas? i dont know how to tell if they are mixes or not. Any help will be appriciated!

Those aren't Ameraucana crosses. . . They're BO x Easter Eggers. (EE's are mutts

) The only Ameraucana who could produce offspring close to that are Wheatens.

I was told some of these chicks were pure BO. How do i tell the BO's from the mixes. The only way i know is the color of the legs. My two EE's have slate legs, some of the others have a slate tinted yellow, and the rest have bright yellow legs. Thanks! i am learning so much!

Not sure about your chickens but I saw "owned by a basset hound"......I've been owned by three. Basset Hounds are great. (Sorry about going off topic but, well, it was basset hounds!!!)
