maran hen

and my barred rock rooster rocky

they say that rooster barred rocks are brighter and lighter in color, the white I would guess.
I have a bunch of barred rocks, some look darker than the others, so I wonder if I have some marans also, I guess We all will find out when they lay eggs!!!
I am new to barred rocks, I have just always wanted them!!

yes they do look like washed out barred rocks! I wondered about the barred rocks, marans, and dominiques? I think they are all from the same family! They look so much alike. my barred rock rooster and my dominique rooster look identical except for the comb, the dominique is a rose comb..! Or double comb... whatever they call them!!!
