We picked up a "frypan special" from our favorite hatchery. Part of the promo is that they tossed in 5 free "exotic" birds with our order. Of course, all birds in the order are hatchery choice... so they show up as a complete mystery/surprise. That makes it fun. We managed to figure out what the 4 different broiler breeds are, but a few of the freebies have us guessing. Any thoughts? Oh, and the fluffy footed fuzzball and the black beaked baby are my faves so far.

Might be a Black Sumatra, or could be a Black Australorp or Jersey Giant.

Mottled Houdan, since it has five toes (Polish have four toes on each foot).

Not sure.

I confess to a slight of hand on the very last bird. She's a SLW-'cauna cross from one of our recent hatches. I kept her because she has an unusual color pattern so far: silver wings with a dark body. The rest were mystery birds. I did notice 5 toes on the Sultan, but not on the alleged Houdan. heh. Good eyes everyone, thanks!
