What are you paying for a bale of straw?

Just curious what others are paying for a bale of straw for the coop / run.

I usually buy at my local feed mill but they are $7 a bale. I saw someone on facebook marketplace selling for $4 a bale cash, thinking about going and picking up a dozen.

I think the last time I bought a bale it was $7. I did get a moldy bale once (opened it up to find the mold inside) and the farm store replaced it with no questions asked. It's likely you won't have that kind of guarantee buying from someone off of Marketplace, so just be aware of that and inspect the bales closely before buying.

The farmers around here are selling for about $4-5 a bale. $8 at TSC.
