I love that series (just to let you know the series name is Earth's Childern) I'm rather up set by how long it takes her to write the books ,only 5 are out, and their is suppose to be 7 in the series.
I have not read that book for more than 15 years ago and I can remember some of those stories. It's better than "smut" books and they would give you a sense of adventure. Another book if I can remember right, was a HUGE THICK paperback book about an Indian woman, Sacajawea. I think the author is a woman named Anne? That would give you a good reading book!
I love her books! The only bad thing is I read to get to sleep and a couple of times I stayed up almost all night to finish one of her books.
Is there a preview I can read about these books you mentioned? I want to know what it is about before I check it out at the library if they do have them.

There is an excerpt from her new book, The Keepsake, on her website @ http://www.tessgerritsen.com/keepsake/excerpt.html Her books are Medical thrillers or Murder mysteries. She also writes romance novels but I've not read any of those. I love murder mysteries and military espionage mostly (I know wierd for a grandmother of three but "Oh well"). Though I don't usually go in for these, per se, her medical thrillers are top notch. I've really liked all of them!
Botany of Desire - good book for any environmentalist. I'm not personally favoring any opinion, but it takes an interesting view of a plant. Strange, but interesting.
Hillbilly Hen; Thanks for the Heads UP! I'll look for that one, too (An Echo in the Bone) And Thanks for reminding me of the true name of the next to last book LOL, I knew there was something to do with fire and snow in the title
Kdcrws: If I had tv/cable, I'd definately watch "The Tudors" but I opted for internet and renting movies instead
Whiteconfections: LOL, I just read Eclipse, too, I do like the Twilight series! Perfect actors/actresses, too, a co-worker took a weekend off work and bought a plane ticket from Nome to Anchorage, just to see the current movie in a theater
Jojo54; I read LongKnife a few years ago, I liked it.
abooth & SunnyDawn; I loved reading the entire Clan of the Cavebear series except Passage of Plains...I waited and waited for that one to come out, having loved horses all my life and when a child I read every single horse book in our library...it seems every other sentence in that book was "making water" and I totally was let down by that book! I have the series and am wondering if I took that book, a pen, and crossed out those two words or each sentence in regard to that...if I would appreciate the story???
The Bible, The Gilgamesh Epic, Geographical Atlas of the World
