] my calls came in!!! Had one Doa. But they had sent a extra so it's all good. So I got 5 grey, seven white, two pastels (woohoo), and one black bibbed . For the price I couldn't have done any better . I had gotten no updates on tracking grrrr. I checked at 6:15 and figured well heck guess hubby is picking up in Reno. Then at 6:25 got a call from my local PO they had my birds so I threw cloths on and ran out the door didn't even brush my hair lol.

Congrats on your new babies!

My chicks shipped! They are due to arrive on Monday!

So exciting! Congrats!

Picked up our chicks today in Thomaston Ga at Mr.Abbott's Chickinnkeeper.
Ended up standing around jawing for about 2 hours. Nice guy; loves his birds. Beautiful stock, too. Ended up adding a few extra to our original ten. Factor in the chicken math plus a few bonuses and we ended up with 34 chooks total.
Lorps, Lav Orps, Wellies, and a few Marans. :) Pics later!

Whoopeeeee!!!!

I called my post office to be sure they would call me and they said they always call, but of course they did not and delivered them to my door.

Hi Pattye!

and the thread! Though they didn't call (after telling you that they always do), you did receive them... well?? What did you get? How did it turn out? Are they healthy? Can you share some pics?

Oh my goodness, I thought I had updated here. They all arrived right on time. One was a little gimpy, I really thought it was going to die, but it kept still being alive when we checked on it (had inside for a while). When it didn't seem any better after most of the day, we went ahead and returned it to its hatchmates where the heat would be more constant and it wouldn't be alone. We figured she probably wouldn't make it. The activity of the other chicks seemed to perk her up and she loved the light. We went to bed still expecting her not to live, but the next morning she was not only still alive but doing much, much better. She still acted off and kind of gimpy for the next couple of day. Now however, out of the three Golden Polish chicks in the box, we can no longer tell which one was the one who struggled so much. All three act perfectly healthy and happy.

In addition to that, this past Sunday, I road tripped to pick up 9 new babies from a forum member. These babies are the exact same age my ordered chicks are now so they all fit in just fine together. Of the new additions there are five Lavender Orphingtons and four Swedish Flowers.
