Actually I have them all together. I "wanted" to have Easter Eggers as the Roos but you know how it goes...I ordered two Roos, they sent 3. Then one of my Partridge Rock girls is a boy and one of my Speckled Sussex girls is a roo, so I have 5 boys. Which is actually working out because they are awesome boys! And two of the Easter egger boys aren't so awesome...getting processed this weekendI ordered chickens for both their looks, hardiness and laying ability.![]()
I WISH I could have a rooster, But they will not allow roosters in the city for obvious reasons. I too am not concerned about breed standards, but I do love to see how they change as they grow up. It is wonderful to see the differences in the colors and shapes. Right now I have a Jersey Giant that still looks like a week old chick, but she is three weeks old on the 7th. She is as big as the 4 week old chicks and yet she still looks like a larger version of what arrived in the the shipping box as a two day old chick! Love her!
