What are your chickens afraid of?

Mine look around like "What was that?" and then continue what there were doing.

Skirts.


I mean it, if I walk out in jeans or a pencil skirt they're fine. However the couple long billowly pesant skirts I own terrify them.

My chickens used to run hide under the orange trees whenever the police helicopter came over. Now they are used to it. But they still get scared by loud motorcyles.

Some of these are soooo funny!
Those silly chickens! Some evenings I look out and instead of being in the coop on their roost, they are all huddled in a far corner. I run out to see what's wrong, and their water dish has fallen off the cinder block its usually on. It takes me a long time to get them into the coop when that happens.

If I take a different treat into the coop, I have to walk real slow and set it down real slowly, or they totally freak out. Silly gooses!

That farting story reminded me of a friend who had a dog that would fall asleep and fart and scare himself to death.

Getting put back in the barn before dark. When I go in the barn they are all over me but if I set foot toward them when they are free ranging they run away.

This is one of the funniest threads I have read in a long time. I was laughing so hard about the plate of deadly vegetables that my husband demanded I read the whole thing to him. Hilarious! Silly chickens.

Mine are afraid of...nothing, it seems. If I make owl noises in the yard, they all freeze, like a big game of poultry freeze tag. Aside from that, nothing scares them.

Oh wait...I farted real loud once, and it looked like those old war movies where a bomb goes off nearby-they all squatted down and froze in place.
