What are your chickens' favourite treats?

My chickens get almost all kitchen scraps! Everything in moderation, so they don't get too fat, but it's a nice supplement to their feeds.

In cooler weather, we give them warm oatmeal. They get sweet feed treats in the summer. Meat is good protein. Greens, bugs, fruits (except citrus, they don't go for that), veggies, bread- chickens aren't picky snackers!
Us too, but one scrap we never feed them is any creature of the bird family, leftover turkey, chicken, duck, etc.

x2...no chicken for my chickens, either. Before I started raising my own, I would buy from a local farm - one day when I went to pick up my order, I noticed the meat chickens pecking at something...turns out it was another (flat) meat chicken. It might be something they do naturally, but :sick.

Thanks for the ideas everyone! :)
I won't be feeding them meat as I don't even eat it myself to have it in the house in the first place, but they're loving sweetcorn at the moment. That story about one chicken eating another.. that can't have been a pleasant sight

But I know that chickens can be cannibalistic, so I'd guess it was natural, I hope you feel no guilt about that!!
Does anybody know if citrus fruits are harmful to chickens, such as oranges?! I can't even imagine a chicken enjoying them anyway honestly, but I have tons lying around.. I've read they're harmful to chickens but could anybody confirm this?! I won't give citrus fruits to them of course if they're at all bad for them!

My girls love macaroni. I think they think they are worms. They'll grab a macaroni and run around the yard with it, then bang it on the ground before they gulp it down and go back for more.

They also love love love pomegranates. Whenever I'm near the tree, they all crowd around my feet waiting for me to pick one for them. I pick a fruit, step on it to break the shell and get out of the way fast or I might lose some toes. Those beaks are quite expert at getting every one of the seeds out of the shell. They even eat the membrane. There are only about a dozen fruits left on the tree, so they will have to wait until next October for their treat again.

Mine love pomegranates, but I don't like sharing it with them :)

My hens won't touch citrus or onions, but they'll go after almost all other food! As for citrus, you can try to feed it to them, but they may not be interested. I don't think it's probable chickens would eat enough of it for any ill side effects; they're not being fed strictly citrus.

We have close to zero food waste at our home. It's wonderful and makes our hens happy, too. Chickens do need protein in their diet, which they get from chicken feed, bugs, and table scraps.
