Its not a very good idea to hatch just one duckling imo. They need brothers and sisters to grow up together.

I agree. You can always give the rest away or sell them.

What bantams do you have Willow that lay well? And yes the eggs are smaller, but bantam chickens eat less, poop less and need less space.

I had some Japanese bantam mixes that laid almost every day, and a Cornish bantam that laid about 4 a week.

Im at 15 girls and 1 boy already and thats just the Faverolles.
I do love hatching them out though, little butterballs.

Faverolles are GREAT and I fully support you buy 20 of the fattest ones you can find.
