I looked closer at the tiny feather tips and I did see slight barring. Don’t have a bunch on confidence she/he was sexed, so sex is up in the air.

I'd say she's a definitely a cross-breed.....Cuckoo Marans bantams are either extremely rare, not available in this country, or not in existence at all (not sure which).

Could be. Would explain the feathered legs. Though the skin color and single comb would be a bit odd for that cross. Might be that she was using a hatchery silkie, I suppose. Was either of the parents frizzled in that cross, did she say? Because your chick is definitely frizzled, going by those wing feathers.

Cuckoo marans bantam is unlikely, for the reasons stated above, and a frizzled one would be even more rare and unlikely.
