All Cochins have yellow skin. If it has dark skin, it's not a Cochin.I thought the white Cochins had dark skin? And what is a muff?![]()
I believe I have been replying on these birds on another thread as well. I'm still wondering if they're mixesI thought the white Cochins had dark skin? And what is a muff?![]()
They're the same birds. They came from Tractor Supply. It honestly wouldn't surprise me.I believe I have been replying on these birds on another thread as well. I'm still wondering if they're mixes
I agree... Even the potential D'Uccle with the wrong skin color's feathers seem off to me. Might be a stretch, but maybe some correlation to the weird Cochin x SilkiesThey're the same birds. They came from Tractor Supply. It honestly wouldn't surprise me.
Would explain the muffs on the white chick anyway. Looks like a BC except for those muffs.
Beardless d'Uccles are called Booted Bantams. That might be what you have!View attachment 2646074
Well, this chick is most certainly a porcelain D’Uccle and has no muff! Had REALLY bad pasty butt that was poorly cleaned at TSC, so...I had to rescue, of course
I got a really nice D’Uccle hen last year, when I ran to TSC to grab some chicks to raise through lockdownThis poor thing has stained and tattered feathers, but I’m curious to see what a beardless D’Uccle looks like!
I had no idea!! Thank you! I’d heard of Booted Bantams but never knew that’s what they were. Whatever it is...SUPER friendly and sweet! Loves to cuddle up to my chin and sleep on my shoulderBeardless d'Uccles are called Booted Bantams. That might be what you have!
Thank you!I've got a Booted Bantam Rooster. He's mille fleur and so handsome. He is very friendly and will even jump up in my hands to be held. I got him from the TSC bantam bin in March 2020. I wish you the best with your cutie
