What bantams go good with silkies

I currently have 2 silkies 1 too and 1 hen she hasn't started to lay yet but I'm not two worried shes 7-9 months old but anyways I was wondering what kinds of bantams would be good to add with them I would like to keep smaller chickens and I know that silkies are lower in the pecking order thanks!

I had a bantam brahma hatch out and raise 3 silkies. It was just her and a bantam cochin hen in the pen and everyone got along very well. I am down to just one of the silkie cockerels left but he is definantly a little boss in there! It's funny to watch him strut what the ladies just look at him like there is something wrong with his legs.

I have three silkies and they are in a mixed flock of breeds of 16. One of the silkies is at the top of the pecking order and the other two are toward the bottom. I find that my Sebrights and D'Anvers hens don't bother them at all. My old English hen doesn't bother them either. They get along well and are all small bantams.

Depends. Your dog doesn't 'speak chicken' and your roo probably felt threatened by him. So I guess it would depend on if the new roo was submissive enough to not make your boy feel threatened.

Personally, I would probably just skip on adding a new rooster if he wasnt needed for breeding purposes. Otherwise, if you get an adult bird take it very slow with introductions and have an alternative plan in case the two can't work things out. Third option would be to give one of your gals hatching eggs from the breed you want when they go broody. Then just let one of the male chicks stay on and aside from some growing pains there hopefully won't be too many feathers lost. I have never had to introduce two roosters though so others may have better advise.

Ill probably just keep with hen I only have rooster because i thought I was given all girl o well I still love them! Any ideas on when the girl may start laying I know silkies take a while

She probably won't lay until we start getting more sun. I was worried about my Cochin gal, she is ...34 weeks, I think? So about seven months, and nada. It's just the season though. I am actually hoping that she lays two or three eggs and then goes broody! Not unheard of with banty Cochins or silkies!

I know! and I kinda glad I got a roo because my mom said we can keep him and she doesn't care about chick but we wouldn't be able to keep them all I can't wait!
