what beer do you drink while workin on ur backyard farm?

Don't ever drink and work...its one or the other. After work and only a couple times a week its a IPA. The pacific northwest has great beer, I try new one all the time. A couple of my favorites are not from the PNW, but heres some of my favorites:
1> Stone IPA
2> Arrogant jerk IPA
3>Belhaven Twisted Thistle IPA
4>Blind Pig IPA
5>Samuel Smith's India Ale
6>Fuller's India Pale Ale

I won't pass on any of these, my #1 Stone makes a oak barreled called Ruination too expensive to drink every day but boy is it good.

We enjoy similar temperatures and humidity to you in Polk at this time of year. I don't drink anything whilst working with the turkeys and daytime beer makes me sleepy. However, after the flock has gone to bed for the night I enjoy a glass or two of cold Leo outdoors. The bottles go in the freezer for 30 minutes and I fill the glass with ice. The period after sunset is best enjoyed with a beer on the verandah watching the stars appear and listening, in the rainy season, to the wildlife enjoying the wet ground - frogs, crickets and other things that we can't identify. On less humid evenings we might catch sight of a few fireflies, reminding me of evenings spent at a fishing at a lake in some woods close to Ocala.

I am with you on having a glass of wine. I like it as dry as I can get it.

I never liked beer until I was at a tractor pull in Germany in 2004. There I found myself drink beer at 10:30 in the morning. So occasionally I will have a Corona with lime or a Stella.

thanks for the post and comparison of beautiful central FL to Thailand, I'd love to visit that county some day.

You'd be made very welcome. If you do, be sure to see some of the rural life. Thailand isn't all beaches and bars!

Say 'Hi' to St Pete's Beach for me, please!

i'd definitely love to see some of the country life over there, I bet there are lots of chickens:) I have some Philipino friends that are planning a trip back home I'm trying to tag along with, Thailand isnt that far of a boat ride......

We are taking the kids to St Pete Beach this weekend, usually we go to Anna Maria Island but I will have a cold burr fer ya regardless!

Yes, lots of chickens - free ranging in the real sense of the word. Skinny things but the meat fetches a premium price. Lots of rice too but land is gradually being changed to other sues in some areas.

If you find you can get here, let me know in advance and, if you want, we'll make sure that you see the real country life.

We used to stay at a motel on the beach. I can't remember it's name but it's close to a hotel with a round top to it. About 15 minutes walk along the sand from that huge pink hotel. That strip has a great choice of restaurants - and beers. Enjoy your trip.
