What brands of commercial food do u feed?

We use Farm Flock Brand. At our mill they mix up ours for us specially. We get the 22% protein layer pellets and the 16 % layer crumbles, both mixed with oats, corn and barley. Which are local products. We are lucky enough not to have to give any notice, just walk in and let them know what we want mixed together and they do it on the spot! I love our feed mill.... and the woman working at the desk always has her baby granddaughter, so we always get to see the cute baby!

I use Kruse's. I think it's milled in Goshen, CA. Our feed store carries Chick Starter Mash, Layer pellets and Layer Mash only. But, I haven't really asked if they will get me anything else. Some Grower would be nice.

It seems to be adequate. The chickens will eat it and they have always been healthy.

Although I have been told, "It sure ain't cracked corn!"

I use ADM Alliance but only because that is the brand my local feed store uses. We have a Tractor Supply store too but they also carry that brand so i have no other choice. My Hens do OK on it so i guess it is good enough.

What does anyone think about the Dumor feed they sell at TSC, for broilers? Also, I don't want to use medicated feed, but I haven't seen anything about it either way on feed bags. Does medicated feed say so on the bag? Should un-medicated feed say so as well, or do you just assume that if it doesn't say, that it isn't?

TO tell you honestly. I started feeding the stuff from TSC b/c it was so much easier for me to obtain w/my schedule. Well, went to the feed store one day & got THEIR starter & wow...HUGE difference IMO. The Dumour (sp?) is like sawdust compared to small-mill stuff. I wish I could think of the brand (sorry) but you could actually see the veggies, etc in it. I am giving my guys the TSC cracked corn, but don't plan on feeding that starter/layer again just b/c I have seen the difference.
BTW, I am a firm believer that I help keep TSC in business here so I am not trying to knock them...I LOVE TSC, where else would I get my poultry mags!?!?

Blue seal never tried anything else. They are very healthy and chunky
