what breed am i?

I have black sexlinks with muffs and beards, but then again, I bred and hatched them. They are also Easter Eggers.


Those aren't spurs, those are toes. That chick has 5 toes. Some breeds with 5 toes are Dorkings, Faverolles have 5 toes and don't have feathered legs. Faverolles mix is my guess.

I agree about Faverolles mix because it explains the beard and toes.

They could be Silkie x something smooth feathered mix. That would explain the dark skin, beard and 5 toes.

The skin isn't dark. That's a dark 'wash' on the legs. There are quite a few breeds with it. My Australorps have nearly black legs. If a Silkie mix had enough Silkie blood to have 5 toes, and a beard, I would think it would also have feathered legs since that is a dominant trait. The lack of feathered legs, points to something with muffs/beard and five toes, with clean legs. That leaves the most likely parent breed to be Faverolle. Might have some Australorp in there too.
