In the Brooder
I know she is croad langshan but the comb and gold flecks around her ears are throwing me off. Came from a breeder that has bcm, cream legbars, ameraucana, and ayam cemani. Cross breed or weird genetics?

Thank you!!! She is coming up on her first birthday in April and hasn’t laid yet. The suspense is killing me!Yep, she is a crossbreed. Her parent would have to be the Ameraucana, however, it is odd that she has a single comb, because a pure ameraucana should be homozygous for the dominant pea comb mutation.
That's not to say heterozygous "oopsies" don't pop up.
I have been patiently waiting for her first egg! I’ll have to update when she decides she’s readyKind of reminds me of an olive egger she is definitely a mix and is definitely going to give you colored eggs
Would you say bcm x ameraucana and no croad langshan?Yep, she is a crossbreed. Her parent would have to be the Ameraucana, however, it is odd that she has a single comb, because a pure ameraucana should be homozygous for the dominant pea comb mutation.

I don't see why she would be a marans rather than a langshan, personally, she looks more like a langshan cross to me, and I see no reason to assume otherwise, especially if she was sold as a langshan, an accidental egg probably just ended up in the incubator with them. Maybe a bird hopped the fence, or she picked up eggs from the wrong bird.Would you say bcm x ameraucana and no croad langshan?
She has small gold flecks on her neckWould you say bcm x ameraucana and no croad langshan?
True. She has the size and shape of a langshan. She just has small gold feathers on her neck.I don't see why she would be a marans rather than a langshan, personally, she looks more like a langshan cross to me, and I see no reason to assume otherwise, especially if she was sold as a langshan, an accidental egg probably just ended up in the incubator with them.
