What breed am I??

Egg was given to me as an extra..they said silver orpington but I'm clueless.

It's hard to tell at this age. Maybe in a few weeks you could post an updated photo? When the feathers start to come in, it will be easier to tell.

It has pictures of various breeds at young ages. There are still multiple different things it could be, though... Silver Laced Wyandotte comes to mind.

Yeah that's what threw me too...I would say Australorp but it's got too much white and barring. I've not seen a Silver Orpington, so I don't know....didn't know Orpingtons came in Silver but they do come in a lot of colors.

If it was a packing peanut it may be a mix which is why it will confuse a lot of us.

My guess is that it's what it was purported to be: a silver-laced Orpington. Several hatcheries, including Greenfire, are starting to offer this color. Some of the original stock had fertility problems, so breeders are crossing in other colors/breeds to try to improve the fertility. That would account for the weird coloration.

My advice is still to wait until it grows up a bit.
