Hi everyone from Australia! I’m Sage and I have 5, 3 week old chicks. 1 Australorp, 1 SLW, 1 LS, and two that are crosses I’m pretty sure, as the lady that sold them to me said the brown one is a Isa brown pullet and the grey one is a cross, but I believe both are crosses. Also noticed they all have rose combs except the australorp. What breeds do you think the brown and grey one are? Any guesses on sex? Thanks in advance! :)

(Almost certain the australorp is a male)

They’re too young to sex. Post back in 3 weeks.

Same with breed ID really. It’s hard to tell what breed or mix as they don’t have their adult feathers in. The black with white stripes in it’s wings could be a Wyandotte. And with the combs, it seems (except the Australorp) that they’re likely all mixes, with a possible Wyandotte parent.

Thanks, will do. As I said the black with stripes is a SLW.

The brown EE is likely a cockerel. He's already got a wide comb and the rust red patches popping out on his wings. Keep an eye on him, I'd love to be proven wrong.
Thanks, I think it’s a pullet due to her skinny legs and smaller than the others who I suspect are roosters. I wonder what breed she is?
