What breed and gender are these?

I just got two chickens and I need help identifying the breed and genders. I think they're barred rocks and I think one is a rooster and one is a hen but I'm not sure.

Looks like a roo and a hen, yes

I don't know the age of them but it hasn't crowed yet and I noticed that one of them is darker and one is lighter.
