What breed and gender is (s)he?

New excited first time chicken owners

. We got 4 new born chicks from the local pet store. They are now 8 weeks old and this one seems like the most likely to be a rooster. In our excitement, we forgot to write down the breeds too!!

Is this 8 week old chick a roo or pullet? Rooster's cannot be kept as pets in our city

Looks like an Easter Egger Pullet. If it's an EE though, sexing can be very difficult. There are a number of good threads here about sexing EEs.

looks like a golden lakenvelder pullet, if so the neck should get more black in it as it gets older

The leg color points to easter egger, but the rest of the bird doesn't really look it to me. She's got a straight comb, so you probably won't get green or blue eggs from her. But, she's absolutely a girl!

Golden Lakenvelder, definitely not an EE!

Hatchery Lakenvelders commonly have too little black on them, plus, she's got a single comb, slate legs, and clean face. Not common EE traits
