What breed and gender is this chicken?

With the way he stands, does he stand like that all the time? If so, I'd say he got some maylay or shamo in him

The barring is cuckoo barring, which is very fuzzy. Definitely a male.

I'm not sure about breeds in Australia. Compared to chickens over here, I would say he is some kind of mix. Possibly having some sort of Malay, Shamo, Asils (or Aseels), or some breed like that. Barred chickens come in many different breeds, so it could possibly be a pure breed, but I don't have any experience with Malay or Shamo to know if they come in the Barred color. I don't think that those breeds (Malay, Shamo, Asils (or Aseels)) come with straight combs though, more like a pea comb.
