what breed and gender is this

this is a four week old chicken or five weeks idk how many weeks any way i was wondering the breed and gender

Hmmm, not sure. I think I see feather legs? Could be any number of breeds. Where did you get it? Do you know what types of chickens were where this chick came from?

I'm not an expert, especially on younger chicks, but I'd say pullet right now.

If it's a purebred bird could be a cochin, brahma, langshan, etc....

I'm sure someone will be along who can tell you better.

It could possibly be a Black Copper Maran, but I've never seen one with that much feathering on the legs. I'm suspecting a mix at this point.

I can't be certain, but I'm saying it's a pullet - the comb is small, almost non-existant and it's pale, not close to being red.... I have French Marans, it could be Marans cross, I don't think it's pure Marans - the legs/feet are the wrong color. Marans have slate/pink legs and feet.

Another thought - Marans' hens have wattles, this little one doesn't even have a spot of red there....

Where did it come from: hatchery or farm?
What other breeds of chickens did they have?

i got it from a feed store there was pullets there and some other type
