What breed and gender is this?

I saw this one at a farm show recently and it was a Black Star. It had such shiny feathers they were like a blue. Mine looks just like your and that is what I thought it was.

I have a Black Australorp pullet with a black face. I believe it's called gypsy face when a normally red faced bird has a black face.

ETA: I've changed my mind and agree with Sumatra as well. I didn't look at the picture very well when I first posted (way overtired) and now that I've seen it again the tail and body shape say Sumatra.

Can't tell for sure from the picture but she appears to have a single comb which would rule out her being a Sumatra. Also her type does not say Sumatra to me. I'd assume her to be a cross of some sort. There are no Bantam Australorps that I know of & the type is certaily wrong for that or Orpington.

my parents had a single combed sumatra from a hatchery so that does not rule out sumatra and she looks just like their hatchery sumatra's
