Had this chick for a couple weeks- think it’s about 4-6 weeks old. Was told it’s a black sex link but worried it might be a rooster. We can’t have roosters in my town. Help!

It looks reddish in the pic but it’s a light tan color. I thought male black sex links had a white spot on their heads?

Right colour for a sexlink. Where and by whom were you told she's a sexlink?

Not an abnormally large comb for a production bird, but the wattles are disturbing me.

Male sexlinks do indeed have a white spot on their heads. It denotes that they carry the barring gene. Which means that if that is a male sexlink, you should be seeing barring by now.

I am unsure on the age- but we bought from an agway and they told me it was a sex link. Never had barred coloring yet. Has the black feet with yellow toes

So, I ended up with a male black sex link he was barred from 2 weeks old and had the yellow spot on the head.. TSC said it was a barred rock pullet ... WRONG. Here are the pics of what a black sex link looks like at a few days old and 4-5 weeks... you can see the barring on both. Good luck
