What breed and gender?

Why doesn’t your husband want cockerels? Are you allowed to have them?

Not to mention this started out as a fun experiment to do with my girls during quarantine which he only agreed to because he wasn’t expecting that I would be able to successfully hatch anything lol

Hey, if you have a cockerel you can join the hatching game more often . Hatching stuff is fun, and having a constant stream of hatchable eggs just makes it easier to do.

I would love to do this however its will require a lot of convincing and copious amounts of alcohol to get hubby on board.

Am I correct that the darker is an EE pullet? She’s got the coloring, cheek pouffs and a single pea comb.

The bird looks like an EE pullet, yes.

Any chance it could be light Brahma x EE? One of the friends I got eggs from has lb hens with an EE too.

No. No feather feet, and both those have pea combs, so it couldn’t have been.

My guesses are that #’s 1&2 are pullets and #3 and 4 are cockerels.

3 looks like it may be a cockerel, all the others** look like pullets. 4 has a pea comb, and those can get pretty red in pullets.

It does have the "classic" Easter Egger look. But can't know for certain with out knowing its breeding.
